The Rotracc 5-wire single-phase voltage regulator (often listed as SKU MCA3578 / EL-REG-55P) is an aftermarket electronic component designed to convert alternating current (AC) from a motorcycle alternator into stable 12V direct current (DC) for charging the battery and powering the electrical system. It is designed for single-phase, permanent magnet charging systems often found on smaller motorcycles and scooters.

Function: Combines a rectifier (converts AC to DC) and a regulator (maintains voltage at 13.5–14.5V) to prevent battery overcharging.
Design: Usually features a finned aluminum body to act as a heat sink for thermal management.
Compatibility: Widely used on 12V CG125–150cc and GY6 engines.
