MICHELIN BIB MOUSSE
CLEARANCE While the Michelin Bib Mousse is slightly past its expiration date, rest assured that it’s still perfectly fine to use. We’ve sold plenty of expired mousses, and they’ve performed just as well. The expiration date is more of a guideline than an absolute, so there’s no need to worry

Help protect your rims from costly repairs and make pinch flats a thing of the past with a set of Michelin Bib Mousse tire tubes. Bib mousse replace conventional air-filled inner tubes with a toroidal multicellular butyl insert. This insert simulates tire pressures of approximately 13 psi (0.9 bar) while reducing the risk of pinch flats and rim damage. The unique properties of the running Michelin’s Bib Mousse simultaneously increase braking, hook-up and lateral traction. They are designed solely for off-road use.Â
- Sizing Michelin Bib Mousse Tire Tubes is critical for the safety and longevity of the insert. Match mousse type to tire type and tire size carefully. Michelin Bib Mousse are engineered exclusively for use with Michelin tires.Â
- MICHELIN Bib MousseTM are intended for Rally, Enduro and MX use.
- MICHELIN Bib MousseTM should not be stored regularly at temperatures over 30°C, and temperatures above 40°C should be avoided all together.
- MICHELIN Bib MousseTM are designed for off road competition use fitted to Michelin tires. The successful fitting and performance of MICHELIN Bib MousseTM in tyre brands other than Michelin cannot be guaranteed.
- Not designed for use on the public highway (NHS). The maximum speed for a tyre with a MICHELIN Bib MousseTM fitted is 129 km/h (80mph).
- The date of first use of the MICHELIN Bib MousseTM should be no later than 18 months from manufacture.
- The MICHELIN Bib MousseTM should be used within 6 months of first fitting. However, the lifespan of MICHELIN Bib MousseTM varies considerably depending on the intensity of usage and the discipline practiced. For example, it will be much shorter for Motocross than for Enduro.
- Before a fast stage, we recommend you warm up the tyre and the MICHELIN Bib MousseTM progressively at a moderate speed.
- Apply Bib MousseTM gel every time you put on or take off a MICHELIN Bib MousseTM, both new and used.
- To avoid degradation due to excessive heat, distribute the gel inside the tyre without putting it on the tyre beads or the rim at the rate of ½ tube on the front MICHELIN Bib MousseTM and 1 full tube on the rear MICHELIN Bib MousseTM.
- To limit the risk of punctures due to pinching in off-road use (motocross, enduro, rally…), use the gel with an inner tube, at the rate of ½ tube per tyre.
